EPL. Chelsea secures crucial win in seven-goal thriller

In the second round of the English Premier League, London's Chelsea hosted Brighton at home and won 4-3 in an exciting and attacking match.

Romeo Lavia opened the scoring in the 4th minute of the match, putting the hosts ahead. Pedro Neto doubled the lead in the 14th minute, and Joao Pedro scored Chelsea's third goal in the 32nd minute. Soon after, Malik Yalcue scored the visitors' first goal in the 35th minute. The first half ended with this score.

The goal show continued in the second half. Joao Pedro accidentally scored an own goal in the 63rd minute, reducing the score. However, in the 74th minute, Cole Palmer scored the fourth goal for the Londoners. In the 90th + 6th minute, which was added by the referee, Pascal Gros scored the next goal for the guests with a clear shot, putting the final point in the match – 4:3.

In the next round, Chelsea will be away to Arsenal on September 6, while Brighton will host Leeds on September 5.
