EPL. Arsenal beat Coventry City at home with a big score

In the opening round of the 2026/2027 English Premier League season, Arsenal won a convincing 3-0 victory at home over Coventry City. In this match held at the Emirates Stadium in London, the reigning champions successfully started the season.

In the 15th minute of the match, Arsenal striker Kai Havertz opened the scoring and scored his first goal of the season. Eight minutes later, in the 23rd minute, winger Bukayo Saka scored the Gunners' second goal. At the beginning of the second half, in the 49th minute, London captain Martin Odegaard made the score 3-0, consolidating his team's victory.

The team led by Mikel Arteta thus started the EPL with a big score.

As a reminder, last season, London club Arsenal won the English Premier League with 85 points. Coventry City won the Championship with 95 points.

In the next round, the Gunners will play away against Aston Villa on August 31. The Blues will host Hull City at home on August 29.
