Entrepreneurs received nearly 15 trillion soums under the Mahalla loyihasi project
In January–August 2026, 14.8 trillion soums in loans were issued to entrepreneurs within the framework of the Mahalla loyihasi project. This is 4.7 trillion soums, or 47%, more than in the same period last year.
According to the Central Bank, 139.7 thousand loans were processed over the eight months. At the same time, the volume of financing significantly exceeded the target of 10.1 trillion soums set for this period: the plan was fulfilled by 146%, and the actual volume of lending turned out to be 4.7 trillion soums higher.
An increase in lending volumes was recorded in all regions. The most notable growth was registered in Navoiy region — 67%, Samarkand region — 65%, and Syrdarya region — 50%.
The five regions with the largest lending volumes in January–August received a total of 7.55 trillion soums. Among them are Kashkadarya and Fergana regions, where the volume of issued loans amounted to 1.51 and 2.35 trillion soums, respectively.
Earlier, it was reported that the Central Bank is concerned about the growth of lending to the population and the ability of borrowers to repay debts on time.
