Embezzlement at the landscaping department in Fergana has been exposed
They plundered 158.7 million soums of budget funds by falsely writing in 283 tons of asphalt for work that was not actually performed
Cases of embezzlement detected in Margilan improvement department
Embezzlement has been uncovered at the Improvement Department of Qoshtepa district.
A pre-investigation inquiry was conducted by the Fergana regional branch of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation revealed that the responsible officials of the Qoshtepa district Improvement Department, in accordance with contracts concluded between the private enterprise "F.A." and the LLC "Q.Z.", purchased 6,084 tons of asphalt worth 3.9 billion soums, and embezzled 158.7 million soums of budget funds by falsely reporting an additional 283 tons of asphalt for work that was not actually performed on 61 streets in 26 mahallas.
Regarding this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 167 (embezzlement or misappropriation) and Article 228 (manufacturing, counterfeiting, selling, or using documents, stamps, seals, blanks) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway.
