Driver fined for not yielding to pedestrian at zebra crossing in Tashkent

A driver who did not give way to a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing in Tashkent was held accountable.

The Tashkent City Police Department commented on a video widely shared on social media.

This video shows a Lacetti driver continuing to drive without giving way to a pedestrian crossing.

The police department thoroughly investigated the incident and drew up an administrative report against the driver under the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

In addition, a preventive interview was conducted with the driver.

The police department called on all drivers to reduce speed when approaching unregulated pedestrian crossings, stop to give way to pedestrians, and continue driving after they have safely crossed.
