Democrats demanded an investigation into Trump's ties with Epstein

Democrats on the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee released a 53-page report on October 26. According to it, five women have accused President Donald Trump of rape or sexual assault.

According to the Miami Herald, the report also includes at least one new allegation against Trump. Former "Miss Switzerland" Beatrice Coyle stated that in 1993, during a beauty pageant in New York, Trump raped her at the Plaza Hotel. Following this, bruises and contusions were left on the woman's body.

A total of 11 women are mentioned in the report. Five of them stated in newspaper interviews, lawsuits, or direct conversations with committee representatives that rape or sexual assault was committed by Trump. Another three women told FBI agents about their encounters with Trump involving Epstein. The remaining three have not made public statements; instead of their testimonies, materials from the Epstein case were used in the report. Most of the alleged events occurred in the 1990s.

The authors are calling for a criminal investigation into the president and the appointment of a special prosecutor.

The White House called the report politically motivated. Trump denies any involvement in crimes related to Epstein and calls the scandal a "hoax."

In January, the Department of Justice rejected such allegations against Trump: "To be clear, these allegations are unfounded and false. If there were even a grain of truth to them, they would have already been used against President Trump."
