On August 12, premature triplets born in the city of Chirchiq died within a few hours. Family members claim that the maternity hospital lacked the necessary conditions and equipment to save them. Doctors, on the contrary, state that all necessary equipment was available that day, and it was impossible to save the babies because they were born extremely underweight and severely premature.
Since the main perinatal center in Tashkent region was closed for renovation, Madinabonu Abdozova, who was 26 weeks pregnant with triplets, turned to the Chirchiq city maternity complex. According to the mother, she went to the maternity hospital on August 10 due to simple abdominal pain, intending to receive painkillers and return home. After examinations and tests, swelling was detected in her legs, and she was admitted to the intensive care unit. According to the mother, she was given blood pressure-lowering medications and intravenous treatments there. The next day, after her condition improved, her family planned to take her to SamPI (Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute). The mother says that an ambulance was also called, but the maternity hospital staff sent the vehicle back, saying her condition had stabilized.
"They placed four catheters in me in one day, a urinary catheter. It was after this catheter that I started straining and labor pains began. Since they didn't have the conditions, they shouldn't have delivered the babies. They should have sent me to SamPI. The ambulance had also arrived. But they sent the ambulance back, saying her condition has stabilized, everything is fine," she says.
Unfortunately, it was reported that all three triplets born on August 12 died. One of the babies passed away approximately 4 hours after birth, while the other two died within 10 hours.
The relatives of the babies are raising objections, linking the deaths to the conditions in the maternity hospital. They claim that some of the equipment necessary to save the lives of the triplets was insufficient that day. According to Nargiza Yunusova, one of the relatives of the deceased babies, family members saw the children after they were born and observed the existing conditions with their own eyes.
