Counterfeit money and drugs found in a home in Bukhara

Officers of the Anti-Smuggling Department of the Bukhara Regional Customs Department, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, conducted an operational event in the Vobkent district.

During the search of the residence of a person who had been placed under prior surveillance, a total of 1,516 counterfeit banknotes with a face value of 2,000 sums each and one color printer were discovered.

The total face value of the counterfeit banknotes amounted to 3 million 32 thousand sums.

Additionally, during the search of the home, a substance resembling marijuana weighing 284.71 grams, as well as 7 cultivated cannabis plants, were also found.

A criminal case has been initiated by the customs authorities regarding this incident, and investigative proceedings are underway.
