Climatologist Erkin Abdulahatov provided information about the expected weather throughout the week.
**Impact on agriculture**
In the first half of the week, the temperature will be +35…+38 degrees during the day and +17…+22 degrees at night, creating more favorable conditions for plants compared to last week. However, in the Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Bukhara-Navoi deserts and Kyzylkum, temperatures up to +40 degrees can increase moisture deficiency. Therefore, special attention should be paid to watering crops and maintaining soil moisture.
Strong winds and dust can accelerate the evaporation of soil moisture, putting additional stress on crops. Due to the re-intensification of heat at the end of the week, the need for water for crops will remain high at the end of August.
**Impact on public health**
The decrease in temperature at the beginning and middle of the week will provide significant relief for people from the intense heat of the past week. Night temperatures of +17…+22 degrees create more favorable conditions for the body to get rid of excess heat load.
However, since temperatures of up to +40 degrees remain in the southern and desert regions, it is recommended to avoid prolonged outdoor activities and heavy work during the hottest part of the day. With the re-intensification of heat at the end of the week, the thermal load will also increase.
In general, the week will start relatively mild for agriculture and the population, but the heat will not subside at the end of August.
