Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —

Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov has approved the construction of the multifunctional complex Bektemir Business City, which will be located in the Bektemir district of the capital. The corresponding decision, dated August 18, was published on the E-qaror platform.

Plots along Bektemir Avenue in the Bektemir and Abay mahallas, as well as along the Big Ring Road in the Zabardast mahalla, have been preliminarily selected for the project. These areas are planned for the construction of a complex designed in a modern architectural style.

The Directorate for Construction and Operation of Olmazor Business City, operating under the Tashkent administration, has been appointed as the project's client.

The Bektemir District Khokimiyat has been instructed to conduct an inventory of all buildings and structures in the areas allocated for the project and to determine the precise boundaries of the future complex. Together with the city Khokimiyat and the directorate, the district administration must also develop a master plan and detailed planning for the area.

Land plots for the construction of facilities within Bektemir Business City will be sold through an online auction, in accordance with the approved master plan. Funds raised from the sale of the plots are planned to be used to build the complex's internal utility networks and infrastructure.

The Bektemir City project was previously included in the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution on the integrated development of Tashkent, adopted on February 28. This document provides for the implementation of 31 projects as part of the capital's comprehensive socio-economic development programs.

The total cost of the projects included in this list is $16.2 billion. According to the document, the area of Bektemir Business City will be 58 hectares.

Residential development projects, as well as service and entertainment facilities, are planned for the complex.

Investment in these areas is estimated at $1.2 billion.
