Comedian Shukurullo Isroilov has been appointed to a position within the Ministry of Culture, the ministry's press service announced.
Bekzod Bakhrom ugli Bakhromov has been appointed head of the Tashkent Department of Culture. This decision was announced on August 21 at a meeting chaired by Uzbek Culture Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
The Ministry emphasized that the new leaders are tasked with effectively implementing the sector's goals, communicating the essence of the reforms to every employee, and ensuring effectiveness.
At the same meeting, Ozodbek Nazarbekov stated the need to take cultural reforms to a new level.
"We have been provided with many opportunities and benefits. But one question concerns me: how are we responding to today's reforms? Do employees in Tashkent fully understand, feel, and comprehend the documents being adopted? The President is fighting for us. Do we understand this?" Ozodbek Nazarbekov asked.
In 2023, Shukurullo Israilov starred in the miniseries "Khokim Buva." He played a taxi driver named Shukur aka, who constantly criticizes the country's socioeconomic problems, earning him the nickname "Negative" from his colleagues. In his monologues, he often claims that if he were the city's mayor, he would solve many problems "in six seconds." According to the plot, one morning, the taxi driver wakes up as Shukur Sobitovich—wearing a suit and sitting in the chair of the capital's mayor.
In March 2024, Culture Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov commented on Shukurullo Israilov's obscene gesture, which was broadcast live on the program "Ertalabdan Salom" ("Morning Greetings") on Zo'r TV. Nazarbekov noted that spirituality is an individual concept, and each person has their own personal spiritual limit.
