Uzbekistan has approved the operating rules for the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills. It will be responsible for exams, national certificates, and the recognition of foreign diplomas.
The Agency will handle the organization of entrance exams and competitions, as well as qualification tests, based on the results of which national certificates will be issued. In addition, specialists will update the question bank and develop criteria and methodologies for testing knowledge.
A separate area of focus is testing the proficiency in the state language of executives and candidates for responsible positions.
The Agency has also been granted the authority to recognize educational documents obtained abroad and to issue apostilles for diplomas and certificates.
Other tasks include conducting exams on a commissioned basis and developing cooperation with international organizations.
It was previously reported that the Agency will conduct exams for primary school teachers to obtain a national certificate, which will allow them to receive a monthly salary bonus.
