The Choshtepa railway station has begun operation in Tashkent, connecting suburban electric trains with the metro and buses. Now passengers traveling to Syrdarya, Gulistan, Khavast, and Bekabad can transfer to an electric train without traveling all the way to the Southern Railway Station.

The station was put into operation on October 23, 2026, as part of measures to develop passenger transportation on local railway routes. It is intended to facilitate transfers between different modes of transport and provide residents of the capital and regions with an additional travel option.

Passengers traveling from Tashkent to the specified cities and districts can take the metro to Choshtepa and transfer there to a suburban electric train. For those arriving in the capital, the station provides an opportunity to continue their journey by metro or bus.

The integration of railway and urban transport is designed to reduce transfer times and make trips more convenient. The opening of the station is provided for by a presidential decree aimed at increasing passenger traffic on local railway routes until 2030.

In addition, starting November 15, suburban bus route No. 194 will begin operating from the Southern Railway Station in Tashkent. Its final stop will be the Niyozboshi mahalla in Tashkent Region.
