Chinese company sues Pentagon
The company is unhappy that its name has been blacklisted as a supporter of the Chinese military sector.
Chinese memory chip manufacturer ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) has filed a lawsuit against the Pentagon.
The company expressed dissatisfaction with its inclusion in the list of organizations supporting the Chinese military sector.
CXMT and Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC) are on the US "blacklist", which the Pentagon has classified as entities related to the Chinese military sector. According to these restrictions, US companies are prohibited from providing them with technology and discussing product specifications with them.
The lawsuit filed in the District of Columbia District Court says that the Pentagon's decision is "arbitrary", has no basis and violates the company's relevant rights. CXMT stressed that its DRAM chips are intended only for civilian and commercial users: from smartphones and computers to artificial intelligence.
It is noted that the status of a "military company" will seriously harm its reputation and commercial activities.
