China accounts for largest number of foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan
The number of enterprises and organizations with foreign investment operating in Uzbekistan stood at 21,490 as of September 1, 2026, including 4,758 joint ventures and 16,732 foreign enterprises, the National Statistics Committee said on September 17.

China has the highest number of foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan
Over the past five years, the total number of operating enterprises with foreign investment has grown 1.7 times, while their share in the overall total has increased from 56.2% to 77.9%.
The largest number of foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan were registered by investors from China — 6,436 enterprises, followed by Russia — 3,589, Türkiye — 2,365, Kazakhstan — 1,345, the Republic of Korea — 739, Afghanistan — 725, Azerbaijan — 503, Tajikistan — 483, the United Arab Emirates — 464, and India — 446.
The number of operating enterprises and organizations with foreign investment rose from 20,973 as of August 1 to 21,490 as of September 1, an increase of 517 entities.
