The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procedure for selecting tourism businesses for fairs
The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for selecting tourism sector entities to participate in international tourism fairs and exhibitions. The corresponding Administrative Regulation was approved by Resolution No. 467 dated September 4, 2026.
The document defines the selection procedure for tour operators, accommodation facilities, transport and aviation organizations, as well as other entrepreneurs operating in the tourism sector.
The Center is obliged to publish an announcement about each international tourism event no later than 120 calendar days before it takes place. The information is posted on the official website of the Center and on its official social media pages.
Applicants will be able to access the public service through Public Service Centers or the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services my.gov.uz.
The deadline for submitting an application depends on the entry requirements of the country hosting the event. For fairs and exhibitions in states that require a visa to visit, the application can be submitted from the date of publication of the announcement, but no later than 100 calendar days before the start of the event.
For events in countries with a visa-free regime, applications are accepted from the date the announcement is posted and no later than 30 calendar days before the event.
Participants of international tourism events will be divided into four categories. The first category will include tour operators, the second — accommodation facilities, and the third — transport and aviation organizations. The fourth category will consist of other business entities operating in the tourism sector that wish to participate in the event.
The allocated spaces will be distributed among the categories according to established quotas. Tour operators are allocated 60% of the spaces, accommodation facilities — 15%, and organizations providing transport services — 15%. Other business entities in the tourism sector account for 10% of the allocated spaces.
Thus, the regulation establishes a uniform procedure for submitting applications, selection deadlines, and the distribution of spaces among the main categories of participants in international tourism fairs and exhibitions.
