A British woman has passed away after being stabbed at a railway station in southern Germany. The 31-year-old victim was attacked shortly before 1 am local time (00:00 BST) on Sunday at the station in Rosenheim, Bavaria. She was transported to the hospital but succumbed to "severe" injuries, according to a statement from the Bavarian Police.
Authorities apprehended a 27-year-old German man at the scene immediately following the incident. The police statement indicated that the circumstances and motivation behind the assault are currently under investigation.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed "an argument or physical altercation" at the station late on Saturday or early on Sunday to come forward.
