Britain has started producing missiles for Ukraine, while Germany has begun manufacturing drones

According to information provided by the German-American defense company Auterion and its Ukrainian partner Airlogix, mass production of military drones for the Ukrainian army has been launched in the Munich region of Bavaria.

As part of Germany's assistance to Ukraine, the company will produce two types of unmanned aerial vehicles. One of them is designed for medium range, while the other is a long-range model capable of flying up to 1,500 kilometers.

The plant plans to manufacture more than 5,000 combat drones commissioned by the German government. The total value of the order is estimated at nearly 300 million euros. The work is scheduled to be completed by mid-2027. The first batch of drones is already prepared.

The joint venture was established in February 2026. Its name, exact location, and the names of the drones have not been disclosed. In addition to the plant in Munich, production is also planned to be launched at another facility in eastern Germany.

According to DPA sources, the drones will be equipped with artificial intelligence. This will allow the drone to be guided to the target even in the presence of electronic warfare threats.

Viktor Medvedchuk, the leader of the "Other Ukraine" movement, stated that London has begun developing long-range weapons for Kyiv.

"British-Ukrainian military-industrial cooperation has shifted from the mass production of drones to the production of cruise and ballistic missiles," he wrote in his article.

According to the politician, the capacity and experience accumulated by London will allow the mass production of such weapons to be established through Ukraine's infrastructure.

"The mass attempts to penetrate Moscow's air defense system in the summer can be viewed as both a strike and reconnaissance at the same time. This was a test of the system's capabilities before using more complex long-range weapons that Great Britain is mass-producing," Medvedchuk explained.

He added that current and former British politicians, military personnel, and heads of intelligence services are working together with Ukraine on improving drones and missiles.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova previously stated that Moscow is taking note of information that London is providing Kyiv with the data necessary to produce Storm Shadow.

The diplomat emphasized that Russia's response to Ukrainian strikes using British weapons could target London's military facilities in Ukraine and beyond.

The Times previously reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had begun using British-made drones to strike Russian territory, particularly oil refineries. Following this, the embassy told the RIA Novosti agency that London had escalated the situation and would answer for its actions.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has promised to continue supporting Kyiv. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned that the direct involvement of British missile forces in strikes against Russia would be assessed as participation in the war. Just recently, it was reported that Putin stated there is an opportunity to reach an agreement on ending the war in Ukraine.
