BMW has unveiled an extended iX3 crossover.
German automaker BMW has unveiled a longer version of its iX3 crossover, designed specifically for the Chinese market, at the Chengdu Motor Show. According to CarNewsChina, the car will be available in three trim levels, priced from 269,900 yuan to 339,900 yuan (from 476 million to 600 million soums as of August 21, 2026).
The main difference between the "Chinese" BMW iX3 and the European version is the extended wheelbase (more than 3 meters) and the presence of local software. In appearance, the models are almost identical. The extended crossover is equipped with a false radiator grille with narrow "nose holes", a large rear diffuser, semi-hidden door handles and separate rear lights.
The number of physical buttons in the car interior is minimized, and the instrument panel is performed by a long screen that runs along the entire windshield. The car is also equipped with a large multimedia system display of an unusual shape, which is slightly tilted towards the driver.
The basic version of the crossover, intended for China, is equipped with one electric motor with a capacity of 265 horsepower. Such a BMW iX3 can accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The range on a single charge is 630 km.
There is also a modification of the model with two electric motors with a total capacity of 374 horsepower. On a single charge, the car can cover a distance of about 700 km. It takes 5.6 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h. The top version of the crossover has a capacity of 469 horsepower. On a single charge, the car can cover a distance of up to 900 km.
