Behruz Karimov: "Lugano will be a springboard for me"

After joining the Swiss club "Lugano", defender of the Uzbekistan national team Behruz Karimov gave an interview to the team's press service. In it, the player spoke about his adaptation to the new team, his experience at the World Cup and his future goals.

"Lugano will be a springboard for me. I was very warmly welcomed by the team. I am happy to join this club and I believe that it will play an important role in my adventurous career. I have dreamed of playing for European teams since I was young, so my motivation is very high now," said Karimov.

According to him, after the World Cup, he received offers from many teams. "We watched and studied all of them, and in the end, the option of 'Lugano' was the most suitable. That is why I chose this team," added the player.

The defender also spoke about how the World Cup games for the Uzbekistan national team influenced his growth as a player: "Participation in the World Cup was a huge school of experience for me. During the game, I try to shoot as much as possible at the goal, not to be afraid of anything. If I overcome the excitement and play without fear, I will be able to use all my potential."

"My main goal is to achieve high results in all the competitions we participate in. And off the field, I like to be calm. Currently, I am busy learning English and Italian," said Karimov.
