Bayern Munich could sell 5% of its shares for 250 million euros

Bayern Munich football club is on the verge of completing one of the largest financial transactions in its history. According to Sport1, the Munich club's management plans to sell 5% of Bayern Munich's shares to German heating and cooling systems manufacturer Viessmann.

If the deal is successful, the club will receive an income of about 250 million euros. The parties have not yet officially announced this agreement. It is also unknown for what purposes the 250 million euros that will be received by the club will be spent.

If Viessmann makes this purchase, it will join the ranks of Bayern's major shareholders. The Munich club has previously sold part of its shares to large companies, and now the Allianz, Adidas and Audi brands each own 8.33 percent of the club.

It is worth noting that in February this year, Viessmann and Bayern Munich extended their cooperation agreement ahead of schedule until 2029. In addition, the parties are also working on a joint project to improve the energy efficiency of the Allianz Arena stadium.
