Barcelona hopes to complete the transfer of Manchester City midfielder Rodri by the end of this week. This information was published by Spanish journalist Carlos Monfort on his social network X.

The Catalan team believes that an agreement can be reached for a price of around 65-70 million euros for the Spanish player. Earlier it was reported that the "blue and blue" offer of 60 million euros was rejected by Manchester City.

According to the source, the "city" is asking for around 70-75 million euros for Rodri. Therefore, Barcelona is trying to conclude negotiations with a new offer.

The 30-year-old Rodri's current contract with Manchester City is until the summer of 2027.

It is worth noting that Rodri won the 2026 World Cup with the Spanish national team and was named the best player of the tournament.
