Barcelona have completed the signing of Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri, ESPN reports.
The English club have reportedly rejected two offers from the Catalans. However, after the third round of negotiations, the City have agreed to let Rodri leave for €76.5m. The clubs have now completed the formalities of the deal.
The 30-year-old is expected to arrive in Barcelona in the coming days. He could be introduced to the team's fans ahead of the Gamper Trophy match against Al-Ahly at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, August 19. According to well-known insider Fabricio Romano, the Spaniard will sign a four-year contract with Barcelona.
Rodri has been defending the honor of Manchester City since 2019. He has won four Premier League titles, three League Cups, two FA Cups and the UEFA Super Cup with the Manchester club. In addition, he has won the Champions League, the FA Super Cup and the Club World Cup once. It is noteworthy that Rodri won the Ballon d'Or award for the best player in the world in 2024.
