Azerbaijan to host joint military drills with Türkiye and Uzbekistan

Azerbaijan will host joint military exercises, “Strength in Unity 2026,” with troops from Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.

The drills will be conducted in three phases at the Kyzylkaya training center in the Karabakh economic district, the Karabaglar training center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Buyuk Zira range in Azerbaijan’s territorial waters of the Caspian Sea.

Personnel, military hardware, naval vessels, aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles will participate. The declared goals are to enhance readiness for joint operations, improve coordination among units, standardize training methods and develop new combat capabilities.

The ministry said Turkish troops and aircraft have already arrived in the country for the exercises. It did not say when the drills will start or finish.
