Average pension in Uzbekistan increased 3.3 times in 10 years

The average pension in Uzbekistan has increased by 3.3 times over the past 10 years.

According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by 2025 the average monthly pension in the country will reach 1,649.2 thousand soums. This figure is 3.3 times higher than in 2016.

According to the figures provided by the committee, in 2016 the average monthly pension was 494.2 thousand soums. In subsequent years, this figure has steadily increased:

* In 2017 - 556.8 thousand soums;

* In 2018 - 640.5 thousand soums;

* In 2019 - 733.2 thousand soums;

* In 2020 - 848.5 thousand soums;

* In 2021 – 963.6 thousand soums.

In 2022, the average monthly pension exceeded 1 million soums for the first time, reaching 1,080.8 thousand soums. In 2023, this figure amounted to 1,234.5 thousand soums.

The most significant increase in the period under review fell on 2024, when the average monthly pension increased to 1,495.6 thousand soums. In 2025, this figure increased by another 153.6 thousand soums, reaching 1,649.2 thousand soums.

In summary, from 2016 to 2025, the average monthly pension increased by 1,155 thousand soums (from 494.2 thousand soums to 1,649.2 thousand soums). This represents an increase of approximately 233.7 percent in relative terms, meaning the final figure was approximately 3.3 times higher than the 2016 level.
