Authorities shared details about the creation of an artificial lake in the Botanical Garden. Video

The khokimiyat of Yunusabad district explained how the artificial reservoir is being created on the territory of the Botanical Garden, where excavation work was previously carried out.

The district administration stated that reports of tree cutting and the start of construction on the garden's territory do not correspond to reality. According to them, trees in the area are not being cut down.

Currently, a project to create an artificial lake is being implemented here. Its area will be 0.5 hectares, and the water volume will be 10 thousand cubic meters. The project also provides for the construction of a bicycle and pedestrian path with a length of 1.2 kilometers.

In addition, there are plans to plant 180 additional trees on the territory. As the khokimiyat explained, the reservoir is being created to improve recreation conditions for visitors and to increase the humidity necessary for the trees.
