Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —
In the Denau district of Surkhandarya Region, a residential building located on irrigated agricultural land was demolished.
The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement reported that the demolition was carried out based on a final court decision, and the regional administration announced the construction of new housing for the owner.
This was reported by the Surkhandarya Region Office of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement.
According to the agency, the writ of execution was issued based on a decision of the Denau Interdistrict Civil Court dated December 29, 2025. The court ordered the vacating of 0.20 hectares of irrigated agricultural land that had been illegally occupied in the Galaba complex in the Chukurkishlak mahalla. The court decision also required the demolition of the residential building and other illegal structures, followed by restoration of the land to its original condition.
Enforcement proceedings commenced on January 24, 2026. According to the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, the debtors were duly notified of the need to enforce the court decision. Enforcement actions had previously been temporarily suspended by court order, after which they were resumed.
Since the requirements of the writ of execution were not voluntarily complied with, compulsory enforcement actions were carried out on August 7. As a result, the illegal structures specified in the court decision were dismantled.
The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement also denied allegations of an attempt to demolish the building without prior notice.
At the same time, the Surkhandarya regional administration reported that the situation was under the personal control of the regional governor. A meeting was held with the citizen, after which the authorities investigated the circumstances of the incident. According to the regional administration, the demolished house was located on a farm, on a field plot adjacent to a citizen's land plot, for which cadastral documents are available.
Authorities stated that the citizen's interests will be addressed. Specifically, new housing will be built for him.
The housing issue remains under the administration's control, taking into account legal requirements.
