Aston Villa to pay €55m for 18-year-old PSG player — The Athletic
England's Aston Villa have reached an agreement with French side PSG for the transfer of 18-year-old Senegalese winger Ibrahim Mbaye.
According to The Athletic, the English club will pay €55m for the player. The parties are currently working on formalising the transfer and preparing the relevant documents.
Mbaye is a product of the PSG academy and joined the club's system in 2018. The Senegalese player made his debut for the Parisians' first team in 2024, at the age of 16. He played a total of 42 games for PSG, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists.
Mbaye made 29 appearances in all competitions in the 2025/26 season, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
The winger also represented Senegal at the 2026 World Cup in the summer. Mbaye played in 4 matches at the tournament, scoring a goal against France in the group stage. Senegal were eliminated in the round of 16 after a 3-2 extra-time defeat to Belgium.
