Asila Mirzayorova has become a candidate for the Asian Paralympic Athletes' Committee
Uzbek para-athlete Asila Mirzayorova has been nominated as a candidate for membership in the Athletes' Committee of the Asian Paralympic Committee (AsPC) for the years 2026–2030.

A total of 10 athletes representing various Paralympic sports from 10 Asian countries and territories will participate in the election. Mirzayorova will represent Uzbekistan and para-athletics.
The election will be held during the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Para Asian Games, which will take place in Japan from October 18 to 23.
All accredited athletes participating in the Para Asian Games will have the right to vote. Voting will be conducted online, and the election results will be announced on October 24.
Five people will be elected to the Athletes' Committee. After that, they will choose a chairperson from among themselves to replace the current head of the committee, Hiroyuki Misaka of Japan. With the approval of the AsPC Executive Board, up to two additional members may be co-opted into the committee.
The committee represents the interests of athletes and ensures that their voices are heard when the Asian Paralympic Committee makes decisions.
Asila Mirzayorova is a Paralympic champion. At the Paris 2024 Games, she won the gold medal in the T11 (visually impaired athletes) long jump category, setting a new Paralympic record with a result of 5.24 meters.
