Uzbekistan Airways plane returns to Tashkent after being unable to enter Russian territory

Flight HY603, which was heading from Tashkent to Moscow, has returned. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Airways.

Additionally, changes have been made to some of the company's routes. This was attributed to the temporary restrictions introduced on receiving aircraft at some airports of the Russian Federation.

Flight HY603 on the Tashkent — Moscow (Domodedovo) route returned and landed at Tashkent airport, while the flight from Moscow to Tashkent was delayed. Furthermore, flight HY9609 on the Termez — Moscow (Vnukovo) route was diverted to an alternate airfield in Saint Petersburg, and it was reported that flights Vnukovo — Andijan (HY9622) and Andijan — Vnukovo (HY9621) may also be delayed.

It was stated that all decisions are being made based on the current situation and in order to ensure flight safety.

"We ask passengers to follow updates on the airline's official information resources. Information regarding the future operation of flights will be provided additionally," the statement said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned airlines that Russian airspace is "becoming dangerous."
