Two flights from Uzbekistan failed to reach Moscow due to restrictions in Russian airspace

Two flights from Uzbekistan to Moscow were forced to change their routes due to temporary restrictions in Russian airspace.

An Uzbekistan Airways aircraft operating flight HY-603 on the Tashkent – Moscow route turned around and returned to its departure airport, Islam Karimov International Airport in Tashkent.

Another flight — C6417 operated by Centrum Air, en route from Urgench to Moscow — was diverted to an alternate airfield. The aircraft landed at Kazan International Airport.

Both decisions were made by the crews due to temporary restrictions in the airspace of the Russian Federation.
