An underground hujra with preschoolers was shut down in the Baghdad district. Video

An underground religious school for girls has been shut down in the Baghdad district.

Law enforcement officers in the Baghdad district of the Fergana region discovered an illegal religious educational institution where 41 underage girls were studying. Among them were children aged five to six, not yet of school age.

According to the press service of the Fergana Region Department of Internal Affairs, the classes were held in a private home located in the Nurafshon mahalla. Parents brought their daughters from Kokand, Uchkuprik, Yazyavan, Dangara, and Baghdad districts. The monthly tuition was 600,000 soums.

The woman teaching the school lacked the required higher education and diploma. Therefore, a criminal case has been opened against her under the article stipulating liability for violating the established procedure for teaching religious doctrines. Furthermore, administrative charges have been filed against the parents of minors who attended this institution for failure to fulfill their responsibilities in the upbringing and education of their children.

Previously, a similar illegal hujra, where girls were illegally given religious lessons, was shut down in Margilan, Fergana Region.
