A 39-year-old woman in Fergana was found to have been illegally giving religious lessons to more than forty girls at her home

In Fergana, a 39-year-old woman was found to have been providing religious education to more than forty girls in her home without permission.

It was revealed that a woman living in the Bagdad district of the Fergana region had set up a secret cell in her home and was illegally providing religious education to 41 minor girls.

As a result of an event held in cooperation with the Regional Department of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service, it was revealed that the cell was operating in the home of a woman born in 1987 and living in the Nurafshon neighborhood of the Bagdad district.

A total of 41 minor girls were found to have been provided with religious education. All of them lived and received lessons here.

It was noted that the girls were the children of citizens living in the city of Kokand, Uchkuprik, Yozyavon, Buvayda and Bagdad districts. Parents paid 600,000 soums per month for each child.

It was found that among those receiving religious education in the cell, there were also girls aged 5-6 who had not yet attended school.

It was also noted that the woman who gave religious lessons to the girls did not study at a higher educational institution and did not have an appropriate diploma.

In this case, a criminal case was initiated against the woman who organized the cell under Part 2 of Article 229-1 of the Criminal Code.

In addition, administrative reports were issued against the parents of 41 minor girls who received religious education in the cell under Part 3 of Article 47 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

In June, it was reported that a couple was detained in the Almazar district of Tashkent for illegally providing religious education to minors. They received $100-200 from each child's parents for this activity and taught them various religious literature in their beds.
