An investigation unfinished even after 1 year: internal affairs created conditions for dozens of people to be defrauded

In Tashkent, people have fallen victim to car fraudsters once again: an "auto showroom" that opened less than two months ago has been sealed off. Kun.uz investigated the situation. The thread leads to the officials of the "Global Avto" case, into which Kun.uz conducted an investigation a year ago. When a criminal case was initiated in November 2025, these individuals were left at liberty. Taking advantage of this, they continued to deceive people.

An investigation lasting less than a year: the internal affairs enabled dozens of people to be deceived

It was revealed that a car dealership opened several months ago in the city of Tashkent deceived dozens of citizens by promising to bring cars from China on favorable terms: they turned out to be auto-fraudsters.

Kamoliddin Nabiyev, a resident of Tashkent city, was planning to buy a BYD E2 car if favorable terms became available. One of the advertisements on Olx caught his attention — that exact car model was offered with installment payment terms.

"They sent me the location via Telegram, and I went there. Five or six girls were working there, and they welcomed me warmly. Then they gave me the phone number of a guy named Samandar. I spoke with him. After about 10-15 minutes, he arrived. He explained everything, and I liked the car and the terms.

They said the car would arrive from China in 25-30 days. I asked why it was so cheap for them. They answered that it was because they were a company. As a down payment, I paid $4,200, which Samandar counted and took. Then a contract was concluded.

When I asked Samandar what his job was, he said he was an administrator. Time passed. Even after 25 days, they didn't send me the VIN code. I contacted them via Telegram. They gave me various phone numbers.

I got in touch with someone named Khalilulloh. He asked which district I had made the payment in. I said Yakkasaroy. He said someone would contact you soon, but no one did. After that, I realized they were fraudsters."

The car dealership employees' terms of delivering the car from China and paying for it in installments besides the down payment had appealed to Kamoliddin Nabiyev. Because such an offer is not found in other official car dealerships. For this reason, he also recommended this car dealership to his sister, who wanted to buy a car.

"I heard about 'Drive Avenue' from my brother. My brother said there were great offers, that it was reliable, the monthly payments were good, and that he had inquired about it. We also went and made a payment. We paid $6,200 for a BYD. The monthly payment was 5.1 million soums, and they said it would arrive together with your brother's. Later, we realized we had been deceived."
