In the Oltinsoy district of Surxondaryo region, a driver who was pursued by a traffic police officer caused a road accident: the Captiva driver, who ignored the officer's signal to stop and continued driving, collided with a Gentra. An internal investigation has been ordered regarding the traffic police officer in connection with the incident.

The district prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-investigation check regarding the traffic accident that occurred in Oltinsoy.
It is reported that on October 18, 2026, at around 8:20 AM, a traffic police inspector on duty in the Yangi Qurilish neighborhood of Oltinsoy district pursued a Captiva vehicle in a service car after the driver, who did not have a driving license, failed to obey a lawful signal to stop and continued driving.
At that moment, due to lack of driving skills, the driver of the Captiva pulled into the path of a Gentra vehicle traveling on the main road, causing a traffic accident. As a result, the driver of the Gentra sustained injuries and was taken to the district medical association.
It is noted that pre-investigation checks are currently being conducted into the incident by the Oltinsoy district prosecutor's office. Additionally, an official internal investigation regarding the traffic police officer has been ordered by responsible officials of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
The brother of the Gentra driver had stated that there were 5 people in the car, that no one had checked on the injured, and that the vehicle had sustained serious damage.
