Today at 05:05, a 1600 MW capacity experienced an emergency shutdown at the new thermal power plant owned by the EDF company, located in the Syrdarya region. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
It is noted that testing and commissioning works are currently being carried out at the plant.
Following the emergency shutdown at the plant, emergency automation was activated, temporarily cutting off the electricity supply in some regions of the republic. Disruptions in electricity supply were observed mainly in water pumps used in agriculture and among residential consumers.
Currently, all consumers disconnected from the electricity supply have been reconnected to the grid.
During the process of restoring the electricity supply, energy storage systems and reserve capacities at power plants were activated, and consumers were gradually reconnected to the grid.
