An economic amnesty has been announced for small and medium-sized businesses.
A presidential decree in Uzbekistan has declared an economic amnesty, "Second Chance," for small and medium-sized businesses until the end of 2026. They can amend previously submitted tax returns and correct other errors.

Uzbekistan has announced an economic amnesty called "Second Chance" for small and medium-sized businesses. This measure will be in effect until the end of 2026. The corresponding decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev following the 6th Open Dialogue with Entrepreneurs, held in Khiva in August.
According to the document, if tax arrears (excluding penalties) incurred prior to the amnesty are paid in full by December 31 of the current year, the accrued penalties on these arrears will be written off, and related enforcement proceedings will be terminated.
If a taxpayer independently corrects a previously filed tax return and pays the additional tax in full by December 31, penalties will not be assessed on this amount.
Entrepreneurs are also exempt from administrative liability for failing to submit a payment order to the bank for taxes and fees.
Scores in the Business Sustainability Rating will not be reduced for those who independently correct the errors made under this economic amnesty.
The decree also provides for the write-off of the following types of debt incurred before January 1, 2026:
