Afra Sarachoğlu, İynemli, and 22 others: Actors detained in Turkey in drug case

The large-scale anti-drug operation "Dawn" continues in Turkey. Last night, the police, together with the gendarmerie, carried out another series of arrests. A total of 24 warrants were issued by the prosecutor's office.

Famous Turkish actors were also detained as part of the anti-drug operation. Among them are Afra Sarachoğlu, Aras Bulut İynemli, Melis Sezen, Melisa Şenolsun, Hazal Filiz Küçükköse, and Nilperi Şahinkaya.

The homes of all those detained will be searched, after which they will be taken first to the prosecutor's office to give statements, and then to the Forensic Medicine Center to submit samples for analysis. Their drug test results are expected to be announced next week.

Earlier, Turkish media reported that 15 famous individuals — actors, musicians, journalists, athletes, and influencers — had been detained. It was later revealed that the prosecutor had issued warrants for the arrest of 24 people, but the police and gendarmerie have so far been able to locate only 18 of them.

Neither the family members nor the managers of the detained actors have made any comments so far. However, fans of Şenolsun, Sarachoğlu, İynemli, and Küçükköse are expressing hope that the test results will come back negative.
