Additional support measures for victims of human trafficking will be introduced
A Presidential Decree "On additional measures aimed at radically improving the system for identifying victims of human trafficking and integrating them into society" was adopted.

New measures to assist victims of human trafficking are being introduced

The Presidential Decree “On additional measures aimed at radically improving the system for identifying victims of human trafficking and their integration into society” has been adopted.
According to the decree, the “Inson” Center, specialized institutions providing services to victims of human trafficking within the system of the National Agency for Social Protection (Agency), as well as non-governmental non-profit organizations, will be authorized to conduct preliminary identification of victims of human trafficking.
As a result of preliminary identification, a person will be granted the status of a person presumed to be a victim of human trafficking for up to 1 month, and as a result of final identification, the status of a person recognized as a victim of human trafficking will be granted for a maximum period of up to 1 year.
The deadline for the final identification of victims of human trafficking by the territorial commissions on combating human trafficking and decent work is set at 10 days.
Starting from September 1, 2026: The Agency's short hotline "1146" will accept applications from victims of human trafficking in the territory of Uzbekistan, and specialists will provide them with advice and information on social, psychological, legal and other issues;
Hotlines will be established in diplomatic and other missions and consular institutions of Uzbekistan abroad to accept applications on the status of victims of human trafficking, provide them with advice and information on social, psychological, legal and material and other issues;
Migration advisory bureaus will be established at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport and the Samarkand International Airport using artificial intelligence technologies at the expense of the Migration Fund.
