Additional bus, train, and plane services will be organized during the holidays

In connection with the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's Independence, additional bus, electric train and plane services will be launched for those wishing to travel around the country during the holidays. The Tourism Committee reported this.

According to the committee, in order to expand the opportunities for the population to travel around Uzbekistan during the holidays, stimulate domestic tourism and create convenient conditions for traveling to and from tourist areas, a plan of measures has been developed to organize additional services on railway, road and air transport routes.

In railway transport, up to 4 additional carriages will be added to the trains running on the Tashkent-Khiva-Tashkent, Tashkent-Kun'girot-Tashkent, Tashkent-Shavot-Tashkent, Tashkent-Termez-Tashkent and Tashkent-Saryosiyo-Tashkent routes.

Additionally, additional high-speed electric trains will be launched on the Tashkent-Samarkand-Tashkent, Tashkent-Bukhara-Tashkent and Tashkent-Urgench-Tashkent routes. These additional services will start two days before the holiday and will be maintained regularly for two days after the holiday.

In road transport, additional bus services will be organized on all interregional routes. In particular, a reserve parking lot for interregional buses will be allocated in the Tashkent-South railway station area, and buses on the Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara-Urgench-Nukus routes will be placed here at least 3 days before the holiday.

The possibilities of traveling to tourist destinations by air transport will also be expanded. Additional flights will be operated on the Tashkent-Urgench, Tashkent-Nukus, Tashkent-Bukhara and Tashkent-Termez routes at least two days before the holiday.

“These measures will help increase the number of people traveling around the country during the holidays, develop domestic tourism, and create more favorable conditions for visiting historical, cultural, and natural tourist attractions,” the committee said in a statement.

This year, during the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence, the country’s population will have 3-4 consecutive days off. Those who work five days a week will have four consecutive days off (August 29 - September 1), and those who work six days a week will have three consecutive days off (August 30 - September 1).
