The population of Uzbekistan rests for 3-4 consecutive days on the dates of the 35th anniversary of the country's Independence.
According to the presidential decree, Monday, August 31, 2026, is designated as an additional day off for all employees, regardless of the type of work week.
Accordingly, those who work 5 days a week will rest for four consecutive days (from August 29 to September 1) on Independence Day, while those who work 6 days will rest for three consecutive days (from August 30 to September 1).
The holidays are distributed as follows:
🟡 Saturday, August 29 - regular working or rest day
🔴 Sunday, August 30 - regular rest day
🔴 Monday, August 31 - additional rest day for all
🔴 Tuesday, September 1 - Independence Day
Wednesday, September 2 - regular working day for all.
