A UNESCO center for preschool education development will be established in Tashkent.

A Regional Center for Preschool Education Development will be established in Tashkent under the auspices of UNESCO. Its activities will focus on developing and implementing early childhood development programs, strengthening international cooperation, researching educational methodologies, and developing new approaches to teacher retraining.
The center will operate within the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Directors and Specialists of Preschool Educational Organizations. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers.
One of the center's key objectives will be to develop regional and international cooperation in preschool education. Specialists will conduct joint research on educational programs and methodologies in UNESCO member countries.
Furthermore, the center will participate in the development and implementation of early childhood development programs, monitor the implementation of the Tashkent Declaration in Preschool Education until 2030, and prepare relevant reports.
Another important focus will be the preparation of proposals for new approaches to teacher retraining. The center will also organize international trainings, seminars, and conferences.
It was previously reported that Uzbekistan and UNESCO signed an agreement to establish a regional center for the development of preschool education in Tashkent.
