A truck carrying agricultural machinery crashed into a protective barrier in front of a bridge on a highway near Tashkent.

A truck transporting agricultural machinery collided with a protective barrier in front of a bridge on a highway near Tashkent.

On Friday, August 21, at approximately 7:30 a.m., at kilometer 870 of the M-39 Tashkent-Termez highway, which passes through the Chinaz district of the Tashkent region, a Sitrak truck transporting two pieces of agricultural machinery crashed into a metal protective barrier installed in front of the bridge.

According to preliminary information, the driver, a Kyrgyz citizen, failed to take into account the dimensions of the cargo he was transporting, resulting in the agricultural machinery colliding with the metal protective barrier.

As a result of the accident, traffic on the highway was completely stopped, and vehicles were rerouted to alternate routes, according to the regional Road Safety Department. Security Service personnel later cleared the aftermath of the accident, and traffic was fully restored.

The Chinaz District Department of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation into this incident.
