Fatal Accident in Samarkand Region: Fire in Truck Cab Leads to Tragedy

A fatal accident involving a MAN truck has been reported in the Samarkand Region. The incident occurred when a fire broke out in the truck's cabin while it was moving. The driver, attempting to stop the burning truck, lost control, causing the vehicle to collide with a concrete barrier and overturn.

The accident

occurred on August 6, at approximately 4:00 PM, at the 35th kilometer of the A-378 highway, which runs through the Mehnatkash mahalla in the Nurobod district.

According to preliminary information, the truck was traveling from Samarkand to Kashkadarya when a fire suddenly broke out in its cabin. The driver's attempt to stop the vehicle resulted in a loss of control, a collision with a concrete barrier, and a subsequent rollover. The driver's injuries were fatal.

The Nurabad District Police Department's Investigative Department has opened a criminal case. Investigative measures are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire and all the circumstances of the incident.

The Road Safety Department (RTD) has urged drivers to regularly inspect their vehicles and strictly adhere to road safety regulations.
