A search was conducted at the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) conducted a search at the country's Prosecutor General's Office. The investigation is related to the activities of a criminal group suspected of "sponsoring" a network of fraudulent call centers and money laundering. According to the investigation's version, the group may have been led by an employee of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The NABU and SAPO announced on September 4 that an operation was underway to "expose a criminal organization involved in sponsoring a network of fraudulent call centers and money laundering." According to the anti-corruption authorities' investigation version, this criminal organization was led by an employee of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Detailed specifics of the operation are said to be announced later. On the same day, NABU and SAPO officers conducted a search at the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The Office of the Prosecutor General confirmed that investigative actions were carried out. At the same time, it was emphasized that the suspicions of the NABU and SAPO do not directly concern the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko.
The Office of the Prosecutor General stated that it would provide full assistance and necessary information to the anti-corruption authorities within the framework of the law.
It was also announced that the prosecution employee, whose potential involvement in illegal activities is being investigated, will be suspended from performing official duties during the pre-trial investigation.
According to sources of "Ukrainska Pravda", the NABU and SAPO suspect Serhiy Kropyva, the Deputy Head of the Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Citing its sources, the publication also reported that Kropyva has been detained. However, this information has not yet been officially confirmed by official agencies.
According to media reports, searches were also conducted in locations associated with Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
Kiper previously worked in various positions at the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and in 2023, he was appointed head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
Kropyva also worked as Kiper's deputy in the Odesa Regional Military Administration before being appointed to his current position at the Prosecutor General's Office. Prior to that, he also worked in the field of cybersecurity at the Office of the Prosecutor General.
At present, full official information on which specific officials the searches were conducted against and who has officially received the status of a suspect has not been provided.
