A recipe without surprises: what is important for the Uzbek food industry

In the first five months of 2026, Uzbekistan's large enterprises produced food products worth 57.2 trillion soums - 7.9% more than last year, the State Statistics Committee reported. Along with the increase in volumes, the requirements for ingredients are also increasing: a small deviation in moisture or viscosity on an industrial line can change the texture of an entire batch.

Below is a new, original text about the important aspects for the Uzbek food industry:

**Uzbek food industry: The importance of quality, sustainability and cooperation**

In addition to the price per kilogram of the product, a number of other factors are also of great importance for confectionery factories, bakeries and manufacturers of semi-finished products in Uzbekistan. Among them, constant repeatability of the result, accuracy of storage conditions, the ability to order samples and the ability to establish direct contact with the supplier's technologist are especially valued.

The program for promoting Russian products under the national brand "Made in Russia", implemented by the Russian Export Center, will help establish just such contacts. This program combines voluntary certification with industry exhibitions, business missions, business meetings and digital platforms. This will allow Uzbek manufacturers and distributors to find Russian suppliers of certified products faster. As a result, it is possible to start a professional dialogue on issues such as specification, packaging, temperature regime, minimum batch and recipe adaptation. This is precisely the purpose of international promotion - to achieve a clear and understandable result for business, that is, to conduct effective negotiations on future deliveries.

One of the participants in this program - Lev-Tolstovsky Dairy Plant, operates in the food industry. The plant specializes in dairy and fat products for confectionery, bakery production, manufacturers of semi-finished products and the HoReCa sector. The plant's catalog, which has a production capacity of up to 700 tons of products per month, contains more than 35 types of products.

The plant produces "Kremchiz", PateMilk soft margarines, dairy and fat creams and dessert bases. In particular, margarines and "Kremchiz" have received certificates of the national brand "Made in Russia".

For technologists, the ability to adapt the base recipe to specific production is very important. The plant can change the moisture, fat content and viscosity of the product, and its own laboratory monitors the properties of the product at various stages of production. The fact that some soft margarines can be stored frozen for 180 days at a temperature of minus 18 degrees creates great convenience when planning long-distance logistics.

The minimum order is 500 kg for one product position. This is a great opportunity for large enterprises to conduct tests on their own line and check what properties the product will have in creams, drinks or pastries. ISO 22000/HACCP certification and "Halal" status complement the important information that professional buyers pay attention to when choosing a partner.
