A premium Russian bathhouse DUBANYA has opened in Samarkand

On September 3, DUBANYA, a premium Russian bathhouse in Samarkand, opened at the Silk Road Samarkand international tourist complex. The complex features two private bath zones named Karavan and Saray, each designed for groups of up to 10 people, as well as a Social Banya format.

DUBANYA is a premium-segment Russian bathhouse, representing a distinct category for relaxation and deep recovery that stands apart from conventional spa, bathhouse, or public bath formats.

The DUBANYA brand was founded in Dubai in 2022 and, according to Russian Emirates, became the first Russian bathhouse in the Middle East. During its operation, the bathhouse has been visited by many celebrities, including members of the UAE royal family, leading athletes, and representatives of the international business community. Combining authentic steaming traditions with international service standards, this project has won the recognition of locals, expats, and bath culture connoisseurs. Today, as the brand enters the Uzbek market, it maintains its service quality and attention to the smallest details.

DUBANYA at Silk Road Samarkand includes two completely separate bath areas — Karavan and Saray, which can be rented for groups. Each is designed for groups of up to 10 people and, if necessary, can be combined into a single complex for 20 people. Each bathhouse features a steam room, a relaxation area lined with hay, a tub area for contrast treatments, a snow generator and a bucket shower, as well as a massage room. In addition, guests are offered extra services such as individual steaming, scrubs, and massages — allowing the bath program to be tailored to each person's needs and preferences.

DUBANYA is a modern interpretation of the traditional Russian bathhouse: the interior utilizes natural wood and stone, while warm soft lighting and concise design combine modern solutions with recognizable elements of a traditional bathhouse, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort.

"When we opened the first DUBANYA in Dubai, we wanted to share our cultural code — our centuries-old traditions based on care, trust, and human connection. In this new chapter of DUBANYA in Uzbekistan, our mission remains unchanged: to introduce new regions and audiences to the Russian bath culture, preserving the authentic spirit of the bathhouse while respecting the local context. For us, success is measured not only by development, but also by the sense of harmony, renewal, and inner balance that visiting guests take away with them. A bathhouse is not just about heat and steam, but a true ritual of transformation, and this is exactly the impression we strive to share with every guest," noted Vladimir Grishchenko, the founder of DUBANYA.

For Samarkand, DUBANYA will be a distinct cultural category that combines an individual approach to each guest, attention to detail, and a bathhouse relaxation format new to the local market, focusing on quality rest, wellness, and serving as a meeting space.

In addition to renting private bath spaces, DUBANYA also offers the Social Banya format — access to the public bathhouse via a traditional admission ticket. With separate areas for men and women, guests can use the bathhouse for 3 hours alongside other visitors. In this format, the bathhouse retains its historical role as a shared space that unites like-minded people and appreciators of Russian steaming culture in one place.
