A new system for assessing children's educational needs will be launched in two regions

The National Agency for Social Protection is establishing Child Comprehensive Assessment Groups under the "Inson" social services centers in Navoiy and Khorezm regions.

These groups will identify the special educational needs of children aged 3 to 18, determine the appropriate form of education and necessary support measures for them, and refer them to state educational institutions.

The system will be implemented in three stages: from October 1 — in the cities of Navoiy and Urgench, from November 1 — in Karmana, Qiziltepa, Konimex, Yangibozor, Qoʻshkoʻpir districts and the city of Khiva, and from December 1 — in the remaining districts and cities of the two regions.

A total of 12 comprehensive assessment groups will operate in the regions.

During the assessment process, a special educator, a psychologist, and a community social worker will comprehensively study the child's learning abilities, development, communication, behavior, as well as their family and social environment. A parent or legal representative will participate in the process, and medical specialists will also be involved if necessary.
