A man was arrested in the Andijan region while selling more than 11 kilograms of marijuana.

A man was detained in the Andijan region for attempting to sell over 11 kilograms of marijuana.

According to Podrobno.uz, the incident occurred in the Izboskan district. Law enforcement officers detained the suspect in a cemetery while selling the drugs for 6 million soums.

The investigation revealed that the man was actively seeking buyers through social media, sending them videos of the "product."

A criminal case has been opened under Part 6 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan ("Illegal trafficking of narcotics on an especially large scale"). This article carries a sentence of 15 to 20 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that a 24-year-old resident of the Urtachirchik district was detained at Tashkent Airport for attempting to smuggle 978 grams of cannabis oil and approximately 500 grams of psychoactive mushrooms from Bangkok.
