A large criminal group involved in drug trafficking via Telegram was arrested in Navoi

A large criminal group involved in drug trafficking via the Telegram messenger has been exposed in Navoi region. This was reported by the Navoi regional Internal Affairs Department press service.

According to the report, the leaders of the group, who supplied drugs to customers using the "pawning" method, were detained. In order to identify the remaining members of the criminal chain, their places of residence and means of communication were checked.

As a result of special measures, 2 "warehousemen" of the group, 2 "pawners" who hid drugs and delivered them to their addresses via location, 8 drug couriers and 11 of their clients were arrested.

During the event, about 1 kilogram of hashish and tools prepared for consumption were seized as evidence.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the members of the criminal group under Article 273 of the Criminal Code (Illegal preparation, acquisition, storage and other actions with the aim of trafficking narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances, as well as their illegal transfer), and investigative actions are being conducted.

It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that drugs transported from Vietnam, South Korea, the UAE and India were stopped upon arrival in Tashkent. In another case, offenders were detained in the Namangan and Tashkent regions with a total of 11.7 kg of drugs.
